EQUIPMENT
1 Gallon Freezer Bag
Ingredients
Add to Gallon Freezer Bag:
- 2 lb Ground Turkey
- 2 Red Bell Pepper chopped
- 1 cup Shredded Carrots
- 2 tbsp Almond Butter
- 2 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos
- 1 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Ground Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Add Day of Cooking:
- 1/2 cup Dry Roasted Cashews
Instructions
To Freeze and Cook Later:
- Label your freezer bag with the recipe's name, cooking instructions, and date.
- Add all ingredients to the freezer bag except cashews.
- Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze for up to three months.
Slow Cooker:
- Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours to an internal temperature of 165F.
Pressure Cooker:
- Empty the frozen contents of bag into a pressure cooker and add 1/4 cup of liquid.
- Turn the pressure to high and cook for 20 minutes, with natural pressure release.
Additional Instructions:
- Break up turkey and stir into sauce.
- Add cashews, mix, and allow the meal to sit for a few minutes before serving.
- Serving Suggestions: Spoon turkey mixture into lettuce leaves and top with microgreens and sesame seeds.
