EQUIPMENT
1 Gallon Freezer Bag
Ingredients
Add to Gallon Freezer Bag:
- 1 lb Ground Turkey 93/7
- 2 large Carrots peeled and grated
- 1/4 cup Teriyaki Sauce
- 1/4 cup Diced Onion
- 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/8 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Instructions
To Freeze and Cook Later:
- Label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and date.
- Add all ingredients to the freezer bag.
- Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal and freeze for up to three months.
Stove Top:
- Empty the thawed contents of the freezer bag into a large skillet or pot.
- Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until turkey is browned and cooked through.
Slow Cooker:
- Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
Pressure Cooker:
- Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 1/4 cup liquid.
- Turn the pressure to high and cook for 20 minutes, quick pressure release.
Additional Instructions:
- Break up meat and mix, and let the meal sit for 3-5 minutes before serving.
- Serve over rice on a bed of Romaine or Butter lettuce leaves.
