EQUIPMENT
1 Gallon Freezer Bag
Ingredients
Add to Gallon Freezer Bag
- 2 lb Beef Chuck Roast or Pot Roast fat trimmed
- 1 Lime juiced
- 1/2 (4 oz) can Diced Green Chilies
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1-3 tsp Diced Chipotle Peppers in Adobo depending on heat preference
- 1/2 tsp Beef Bouillon
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
Add Day of Cooking:
- 1/2 cup Water
Instructions
To Freeze and Cook Later:
- Label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and date.
- Add all ingredients to the freezer bag.
- Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze for up to three months.
Slow Cooker:
- Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker and add 1/2 cup Water.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 5-7 hours.
Pressure Cooker:
- Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 1/2 cup Water.
- Turn the pressure to high and cook for 60 minutes, with natural pressure release.
Additional Instructions:
- Remove Bay leaves. Shred beef and return to pot and mix into sauce.
- This meat can be used to make tacos, burritos, enchiladas, salads, and taquitos – the possibilities are endless!
