EQUIPMENT

1 Gallon Freezer Bag

Ingredients
  

Add to Gallon Freezer Bag

  • 2 lb Beef Chuck Roast or Pot Roast fat trimmed
  • 1 Lime juiced
  • 1/2 (4 oz) can Diced Green Chilies
  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1-3 tsp Diced Chipotle Peppers in Adobo depending on heat preference
  • 1/2 tsp Beef Bouillon
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves

Add Day of Cooking:

  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions
 

To Freeze and Cook Later:

  • Label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and date.
  • Add all ingredients to the freezer bag.
  • Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze for up to three months.

Slow Cooker:

  • Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker and add 1/2 cup Water.
  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 5-7 hours.

Pressure Cooker:

  • Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 1/2 cup Water.
  • Turn the pressure to high and cook for 60 minutes, with natural pressure release.

Additional Instructions:

  • Remove Bay leaves. Shred beef and return to pot and mix into sauce.
  • This meat can be used to make tacos, burritos, enchiladas, salads, and taquitos – the possibilities are endless!
