EQUIPMENT

1 Gallon Freezer Bag

Ingredients
  

Add to Freezer Bag

  • 1 lb Chicken Breasts
  • 2 stalks Celery Stick diced
  • 2 Carrots diced
  • 1/2 cup Diced Onion
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic minced
  • 4 tsp Chicken Bouillon Base recommend Better Than Bouillon
  • 1 Bay Leaves
  • 1/2 tbsp Parsley
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Add to Pot Before Cooking

  • 4 cups Water

Add After Cooking

  • 4 oz Egg Noodles

Instructions
 

To Freeze and Cook Later:

  • Label your freezer bag with the recipe's name, cooking instructions, and date.
  • Add all ingredients to the freezer bag, EXCEPT water and egg noodles.
  • Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze for up to three months.

Slow Cooker:

  • Empty frozen contents of the bag into a slow cooker and add 4 cups of water.
  • Cook on low for 3-4 hours, or to an internal temperature of 165F.

Pressure Cooker:

  • Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 4 cups of water.
  • Turn the pressure to high and cook for 15 minutes, with quick pressure release. *If chicken isn't cooked through, shred and return to pressure cooker on saute setting.

Additional Instructions:

  • Remove bay leaf.
  • Shred chicken and return to liquid.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions and add to pot.
  • Top with lemon wedges or fresh parsley for garnish. Serve with garlic bread or grilled cheese sandwiches.
