EQUIPMENT

1 Gallon Freezer Bag

Ingredients
  

Add to Gallon Freezer Bag:

  • 1 1/2 lb Country Style Pork Ribs boneless
  • 1/2 lb Smoked Turkey Sausage Rope cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1/2 cup Diced Onion
  • 2 (15 oz) cans Great Northern Beans drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 2 tsp Chicken Bouillon Base Recommend Better Than Bouillon brand
  • 1 tsp Liquid Smoke
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 1 Bay Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Add Day of Cooking:

  • 2 cups Water

Instructions
 

To Freeze and Cook Later:

  • Label your freezer bag with the recipe's name, cooking instructions, and date.
  • Add all ingredients to the freezer bag.
  • Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal and freeze for up to three months.

Slow Cooker:

  • Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker and add 2 cups Water.
  • Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 5-6 hours until the pork is fall-apart tender.

Pressure Cooker:

  • Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 2 cups Water.
  • Turn the pressure to high and cook for 40 minutes, natural pressure release.

Additional Instructions:

  • Remove bay leaf.
  • Shred or break apart pork. Add meat back to the pot to soak in sauce before serving.
  • Serve over rice or as is.
