EQUIPMENT

1 Gallon Freezer Bag

Ingredients
  

Add to Gallon Freezer Bag:

  • 1/2 lb Extra Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 (15 oz) can Petite Diced Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Part-Skim Ricotta Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Tomato Paste
  • 1/4 cup Diced Onion
  • 4 tsp Chicken Bouillon Base
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Add Day of Cooking:

  • 4 cups Water
  • 8 oz Bowtie or broken lasagna noodles uncooked
  • 1 cup Spinach **Optional chopped

Instructions
 

To Freeze and Cook Later:

  • Label your freezer bag with the recipe's name, cooking instructions, and date.
  • Add all ingredients to the freezer bag EXCEPT water and pasta.
  • Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze for up to three months.

Slow Cooker:

  • Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker and add 4 cups Water.
  • Cook on low for 3-4 hours or to an internal temperature of 165F.

Pressure Cooker (not recommended):

  • Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 4 cups Water.
  • Turn the pressure to high and cook for 15 minutes, with quick pressure release.

Additional Instructions:

  • Break up beef and return to liquid.
  • Add 1 cup of chopped Spinach (optional) to the pot
  • Cook 8 oz Bowtie or broken lasagna noodles according to package directions and add to pot.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Top with parmesan and fresh parsley for garnish. Serve with a side salad and breadsticks.
