EQUIPMENT

1 Gallon Freezer Bag

Ingredients
  

Add to Gallon Freezer Bag:

  • 1 1/2 lb Chicken Breasts
  • 1/2 (15 oz) can Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Salsa Verde
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper Chopped into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup Diced Onion
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

To Freeze and Cook Later:

  • Label your freezer bag with the recipe's name, cooking instructions, and date.
  • Add all ingredients to the freezer bag.
  • Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal and freeze for up to three months.

Slow Cooker:

  • Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165F.

Pressure Cooker:

  • Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 1/4 cup liquid.
  • Turn the pressure to high and cook for 20 minutes, natural pressure release.

Additional Instructions:

  • Shred the chicken, return it to the pot, and mix. Let the meal sit for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve over rice or with flour tortillas, shredded lettuce, grated cheese, sour cream, and other favorite toppings.
