EQUIPMENT
1 Gallon Freezer Bag
Ingredients
Add to Gallon Freezer Bag:
- 1 1/2 lb Chicken Breasts
- 1/2 (15 oz) can Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
- 1 cup Salsa Verde
- 1 Green Bell Pepper Chopped into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/4 cup Diced Onion
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 2 tsp Minced Garlic
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 1/2 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Instructions
To Freeze and Cook Later:
- Label your freezer bag with the recipe's name, cooking instructions, and date.
- Add all ingredients to the freezer bag.
- Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal and freeze for up to three months.
Slow Cooker:
- Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
Pressure Cooker:
- Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 1/4 cup liquid.
- Turn the pressure to high and cook for 20 minutes, natural pressure release.
Additional Instructions:
- Shred the chicken, return it to the pot, and mix. Let the meal sit for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve over rice or with flour tortillas, shredded lettuce, grated cheese, sour cream, and other favorite toppings.
