Your favorite street tacos are now a reality at home with these Carne Asada Street Tacos, topped with onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice for a burst of flavor that's simply irresistible!
2lbFlank Steak or Skirt Steakthinly sliced against the grain
1Orangejuiced (~1/4 cup)
1Limejuiced
1/4bunchCilantrofinely diced
1/8cupExtra Virgin Olive Oil
1/8cupLow Sodium Soy Sauce
1/8cupWorcestershire Sauce
1tbspBrown Sugar
1tbspMinced Garlic
2tspChili powder
1tspCumin
Instructions
To Freeze and Cook Later:
Label your freezer bag with the recipe's name, cooking instructions, and date.
Add all ingredients to the freezer bag.
Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal the bag, and massage marinade into the steak. Freeze for up to three months.
Grill:
Thaw the meal overnight in the fridge. Pull the steak out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before grilling.
Grease and preheat the grill to high heat. Add steak and turn down to medium-high
Grill steak for 5-6 minutes per side or to an internal temperature of 145-155 F. Grill time will vary depending on the thickness of the steak and the desired level of doneness.
Stove Top:
Thaw the meal overnight in the fridge. Pull the steak out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking.
Heat large skillet over medium high heat and spray with cooking spray.
Add steak and marinade, and cook, stirring often, until steak has browned and marinade has reduced, about 5-6 minutes, or until desired doneness
Additional Instructions:
Remove from heat and allow the steak to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
If desired, dice up steak into bite-sized pieces.
Serve with corn or flour tortillas with onion, avocado, ranchero cheese, a squeeze of lime or other desired taco toppings.
