Hawaiian Meatballs
Treat your taste buds to Hawaiian meatballs simmered to perfection in a crockpot with bell pepper and pineapple chunks smothered in a sweet and tangy sauce.
EQUIPMENT
1 Gallon Freezer Bag
Ingredients
Add to Gallon Freezer Bag:
- 14 oz Precooked Frozen Turkey Meatballs Recommend Farm Rich Turkey Frozen Meatballs (28 oz package)
- 1 Green Bell Pepper diced
- 1 Red Bell Pepper diced
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tsp Minced Garlic
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
Add Day of Cooking:
- 1 can Pineapple Chunks + 1/4 cup of juice
Instructions
To Freeze and Cook Later:
- Label your freezer bag with the recipe's name, cooking instructions, and date.
- Add all ingredients to the freezer bag EXCEPT 1 can Pineapple Chunks.
- Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal, and freeze for up to three months.
Slow Cooker:
- Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker.
- Add 1 can Pineapple Chunks + 1/4 cup of the drained pineapple juice
- Cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 2-3 hours to an internal temperature of 165F.
Pressure Cooker:
- Empty the frozen contents of bag into a pressure cooker.
- Add 1 can Pineapple Chunks + 1/4 cup of the drained pineapple juice.
- Turn the pressure to high and cook for 10 minutes with quick pressure release.
Additional Instructions:
- Stir and serve over rice.
- Top with green onion and sesame seeds.
