Chicken Fajitas
Savor the delicious flavors of traditional fajitas without all the extra hassle! Just dump everything into the slow-cooker or pressure cooker and you will have tender, well seasoned perfection in no time.
EQUIPMENT
1 Gallon Freezer Bag
Ingredients
Add to Gallon Freezer Bag:
- 1 lb Chicken Breasts
- 1 Green Bell Pepper sliced
- 1 Red Bell Pepper sliced
- 1 cup Salsa
- 1/4 cup Diced Onion sliced or diced
- 1/2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Minced Garlic
- 1/2 tbsp Chili Powder
- 2 tsp Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
To Freeze and Cook Later:
- Label your freezer bag with the name of the recipe, cooking instructions, and date.
- Add all ingredients to the freezer bag.
- Carefully remove as much air as possible, seal and freeze for up to three months.
Slow Cooker:
- Empty the thawed contents of the bag into a slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 3-4 hours, or to an internal temperature of 165F.
Pressure Cooker:
- Empty the frozen contents of the bag into a pressure cooker and add 1/4 cup liquid.
- Turn the pressure to high and cook for 20 minutes, natural pressure release.
Additional Instructions:
- Shred chicken and return to liquid. Let the meal sit for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with flour tortillas, avocado, grated cheese, rice and other fajita toppings.
